Matt led our development and project team at Keystone Group from 2014 to 2016 which culminated in the creation of four new venues added to the group.

These included Jamie’s Italian in Brisbane, Adelaide and Parramatta, as well as the iconic Chophouse in Perth.

Matt’s professional guidance combined with his calm and collaborative approach enabled the project team to stay informed and ultimately led to the successful launch of these new venues on time and under budget.

His knowledge of the industry and the process, and his skill at both stakeholder and contractor management, meant that any bumps in the road were seen in advance and addressed in a timely manner.

We understand that building a new venue can be a complex process. We treat each project as if it is our own business and help you piece the puzzle together.

Our capabilities

  • Due diligence on the technical aspects of the property. Checking whether the project works within the space to ensure road blocks are avoided further down the line.

  • Feasibility sense checks on cost and design to clarify the financial planning and ideation stages.

  • Development of full design with all internal and consultant stakeholders into a complete set of documents needed for consents, pricing, and construction.

  • Obtaining the relevant statutory authority consents required to give your construction project the green light.

  • Tendering and pricing all elements of the project.

  • Compilation of all project costs into a Cost Plan, and scope management to suit business model budgets.

  • On site management of the construction team to ensure correct delivery and quality control. Contract administration including progress claim assessments, variation management, and program delivery.

  • Handover and training to the venue team.

  • Ensuring every aspect is delivered to the highest quality.

Matt played a crucial role in helping us realise our vision for a new and vibrant space to serve our growing market.
